Six rows, one pattern: the hard facts about McKinnon are easy to verify, while her private life is guarded by design.

The takeaway: her public record is stable, and the unknowns are limited to details she has chosen not to share.

Does Kate McKinnon have any children?

The short, source-backed answer is no. No major biography, interview database, or verified profile lists children, and McKinnon has not referenced any publicly.

Who is Kate McKinnon’s partner in 2026?

• No named partner has been confirmed for 2026; current coverage remains speculative (Southern Monitor (entertainment blog)).
• She has not published a relationship timeline, so the only honest answer is “not publicly known.”

The pattern: McKinnon gives audiences full access to her characters and almost no access to her private life.

Did Kate McKinnon ever date men?

• No recent interview or verified biography addresses past male partners in detail.
• Claims that she did are not supported by the available record, and she has not revisited the subject publicly.

The catch: absence of evidence is not a confirmation either way.

Does Kate McKinnon live in the woods?

• Yes, according to People’s reporting around her Sundance appearance, McKinnon now lives in a cabin in the woods in upstate New York (People (celebrity news outlet)).
• No exact address has been published, so the “woods” location is rural upstate New York, not a specific town.

This is one of the few pieces of personal news she has confirmed, and it fits the way she has talked about stepping back from constant public attention.

What is Kate McKinnon’s real name?

• Her birth name is Kathryn McKinnon Berthold; she performs under the shortened form Kate McKinnon (Wikipedia (community-maintained encyclopedia)).

The name change is professional, not a legal break from her family identity.

The pattern holds: McKinnon controls what becomes public, and she has not made family planning part of that record.

Why did SNL get rid of Kate McKinnon?

She wasn’t fired. After season 47, McKinnon exited on her own terms. In a People report tied to her Sundance appearance, she said leaving was something she had considered for a very long time and called the decision difficult (People (celebrity news outlet)).

When did Kate McKinnon quit SNL?

Her hosting slot on December 16, 2023, with Billie Eilish as musical guest, showed the split was not acrimonious (Saturday Night Live Wiki (fan wiki)).

Kate McKinnon career timeline

Five markers, one arc: a theatre student at Columbia became the anchor of late-night comedy, then stepped away at her peak.

The timeline shows a deliberate exit rather than a collapse.

What is Kate McKinnon doing nowadays?

• She is developing film and television projects, as listed in the current-projects row above.
• She has not returned to a weekly live-sketch schedule since leaving SNL.

The shift from weekly live television to project-based work is a long-planned move, not a retirement.

Who played Mrs. Rafferty on SNL?

• Fan wiki indexes Mrs. Rafferty as one of McKinnon’s SNL characters (Saturday Night Live Wiki (fan wiki)).

That kind of fan reference is useful for atmosphere, but it is not a primary source; McKinnon has not discussed every minor character separately.

What was Kate McKinnon diagnosed with?

There is no verified public diagnosis. McKinnon has not disclosed a specific medical condition in interviews, and no major profile has confirmed one.

The record is clean: the health rumor has no confirming source behind it.

Is Kate McKinnon on social media?

• McKinnon does not maintain a verified public Instagram account; only a fan-run account uses her name as a handle (Instagram fan account (unofficial)).
• She has kept her distance from the public platform loop, which fits her post-SNL privacy shift.

The absence of a personal feed is itself a signal: her public appearances now happen through projects, not posts.

Who is Kate Micucci?

• Kate Micucci is a different performer — an actress and musician, not Kate McKinnon.
• The mix-up usually comes from similar first names and overlapping comedy audiences, not from any professional link.

If you searched for Micucci, you won’t find her net worth or dating history here; her career is separate.

Bottom line: For fans, the choice is clear: stop waiting for a social-media comeback and follow her film, TV, and writing projects instead.
